This was the title of a team building and training session held on the afternoon of Sunday 1st November, when members of the Kirk Sessions, Congregational Boards and youth leaders from both our congregations attended and participated.

There was much fun and creativeness in varied groups with bandaging, making paper chains, constructing squares from odd shapes and trying to lift objects as a single operation with all members controlling a length of string - all under the watchful eyes of Jack Galloway and Duncan Dyer, two Scout leadsers from East Calder. Then to the more serious business of finance and leadership with talks from Andrew Coutts, Convener of Finance & Stewardship at West Lothian presbytery and Rev Dr Jaco Boonzaaier, minister of Broxburn Parish Church respectively. Finally, after a cuppa, members divided into various groups of interest to discuss the way forward for our congregations.
